Line width of a single longitudinal mode emitted by an AlGaAs heterojunction laser

Abstract: A nonmonotonic dependence of the emission line width on the power was observed for a single longitudinal mode of an AlGaAs heterojunction laser. This behavior could be due to the dependence of the waveguide coefficient of the amplitude–phase coupling on the nature of operation of the laser.
