Investigation of the absorption of near infrared radiation in partly deuterated KDP and α-HIO3 crystals

Abstract: An investigation was made of the influence of deuteration of KDP and α-HIO3 crystals on their near infrared absorption. The infrared edge of the transparency band was shifted toward longer wavelengths by deuteration. A determination was made of the dependence of the degree of deuteration of DKDP crystals on the deuteration of the aqeuous solution from which they were grown.
