Dynamics of stimulated emission from an electron-beamcontrolled CO2 laser with a plasma mirror

Abstract: An investigation was made of the dynamics of the stimulated emission from an electron-beam-controlled CO2 laser with a plasma mirror. Two limiting cases were considered: stimulated emission of a single pulse of ~100 nsec duration (laser radiation energy up to ~250 J) and stimulated emission of a train of nanosecond pulses (power up to ~20 GW). The operation of the laser was modeled numerically.
