Use of an open resonator in a parametric free-electron laser

Abstract: Parametric free-electron lasers utilizing open resonators and beams consisting of a series of identical particle bunches are analyzed theoretically. It is shown that the use of a resonator in a parametric laser system can increase the radiation intensity and its monochromaticity.
