Abstract:
A numerical model is developed for calculating the single-atomic response to the field of a linearly polarised laser pulse of duration of a few oscillation cycles of the optical field. The model is based on the semiclassical theory of high-order harmonic generation and is developed in the time representation. The parameters of generated attosecond pulses calculated within the framework of the model are in good agreement with the results obtained by integrating numerically the Schrödinger equation. The complexity of model calculations is approximately two orders of magnitude lower than that of the numerical integration of the Schrödinger equation.
