Abstract:
A diode-side-pumped Nd:YVO4 slab laser with the grazing-incidence bounce geometry of the cavity is studied experimentally. Upon continuous pumping different lasing regimes are realised, namely, cw, passive and active Q-switching and passive mode-locking. The resonator parameters are optimised to achieve the maximum cw output power (~17 W) and high-quality beam (M2 ≈ 1.3).
