Abstract: The mechanism of merging of shock waves produced by a pulsating energy source is considered for magnetised plasma. The criteria for the emergence of this mechanism are found and its high efficiency for producing low-frequency magnetosonic waves, which have the form of a jet and propagate at large distances without attenuation, is shown.
