Detection of the gamma decay of an isomeric low-lying 181Ta level excited in a high-temperature near-surface laser plasma

Abstract: The excitation of nuclei in a high-temperature femtosecond laser plasma was observed for the first time; the gamma photons resulting from the decay of the isomeric 9/2 (6.238 keV) 181Ta level were detected.
