Abstract: A carbon dioxide gas-dynamic laser was operated using СО₂ + N₂ + СО + Н₂О mixtures with high concentrations of carbon monoxide and with N₂ replaced completely by CO. A three-mode model was used to calculate the vibrational relaxation and the gain in a mixture of gases flowing out of a Laval nozzle.
