New capabilities of neodymium-activated crystals in generating ultraviolet and visible stimulated radiation by intense radiative transitions from levels of the 4D3/2 and 2P3/2 multiplets
Abstract:
The capabilities of Nd3+-activated laser crystals in generating ultraviolet and visible radiation are analysed for the first time. General relationships of the behaviour of the intensity characteristics of intermultiplet radiative transitions from levels of the higher metastable neodymium states 4D3/2 (~28200 cm-1) and 2P3/2 (~26100 cm-1) are determined.
