Control of laser radiation parameters. Ultrashort radiation pulses
Precision of control of the angular distribution of radiation from a neodymium glass laser with phase conjugation and an intracavity space–time light modulator
Abstract:
The method is described and the experimental results are reported of an investigation of the precision of control of the angular distribution of radiation in a laser amplifier with phase conjugation coupled to a master oscillator with an intracavity light-controlled space–time modulator. It is shown that the precision of control of the direction of radiation is at least 0.3 of the diffraction divergence of a beam and the response time of the modulator to a control signal is 500 μs. The results are given of a study of the precision of phase conjugation of radiation by double reflection from stimulated Brillouin scattering mirrors, including results obtained under conditions simulating self-interaction of radiation.
