Abstract: The temperature dependence of the collision broadening of the spectrum of the 2P1/22P3/2 line of atomic iodine is determined in the 220 – 347 K range by the technique of high-resolution diode laser spectroscopy. The collision width in an oxygen–nitrogen medium depends on temperature as (300 K/T)γ, where γ = 0.87 ± 0.13.
