Abstract:
A numerical model was developed to describe the emission kinetics of bleaching-wave dye lasers (BWDLs) with nonmonochromatic pumping and the results are presented. The main features are discussed and the data obtained are compared with the experimental results and previously estimated theoretical parameters of BWDLs with monochromatic pumping. The calculated efficiency (~20%), specific output energy (170 J/liter), and the cw nature of the lasing confirm that scalable BWDLs are promising.
