Laser plasma expansion in a magnetic field

Abstract: The first experimental demonstration was obtained of the difference in the emission of spectral lines by ions of different degrees of ionization in a laser plasma expanding in a vacuum in the presence of a transverse external magnetic field of 0.3 T. Numerical modeling calculations provided a qualitative explanation of the observed emission pattern.
