Abstract:
A quasione-dimensional model of a supersonic chemical laser is proposed, taking into account the turbulent nature of the mixing, shock wave processes, and reactions of the nozzle walls. A test of the model using the example of a mixing OD–CO2 laser with thermal initiation showed good agreement between the calculations and experiments. It was established that a laser with a chemical generator of hydrogen atoms provided a considerably lower specific output energy than was obtained in previous studies.
