Abstract:
Single-mode radiation in the form of separate trains of pulses of 2.3-J energy, 5-ms duration, and an average power of 114 W was generated for the first time. The trains consisted of equidistant pulses with a peak power of 817 kW, a 140-ns duration, and a 250-$\mu$ pulse-repetition period. The time and energy parameters of the radiation could be varied within wide ranges by changing the electrical pump power.
