Quantum squeezed states under self-interaction conditions: influence of dispersion on the squeezing spectrum

Abstract: An analysis is made of wide-band conversion of quantum fluctuations of radiation in the case of self-interaction of a high-intensity monochromatic wave in a dispersive medium characterized by a cubic nonlinearity. The squeezing spectrum is determined. It is shown that the effective generation of squeezed states is possible only in a limited range of frequencies governed by the dispersion of the medium.
