Abstract:
The quasioptic equation method for a transverse correlation function is used in the Markov approximation to study the influence of fluctuations of the optical parameters of an inhomogeneous active medium on the angular distribution of stimulated radiation. The results are given of numerical calculations of the gain experienced by spontaneous soft x-ray radiation in a plasma filament. It is shown that fluctuations of the permittivity can broaden the angular distribution even in the superradiance case. An interpretation is given of the experimentally determined angular divergence.
