Abstract:
An analysis was made of several variants of stimulated Brillouin scattering oscillator system pumped by incoherent beams. The appropriate threshold characteristics were determined experimentally and theoretically. It was found that this system had a very wide reflection band. It was observed experimentally that when the system was pumped by monochromatic different-frequency beams, the angular distribution of the reflected radiation was rotated from the "exactly backward" direction by an angle that depended on the frequency difference.
