Abstract:
An experimental investigation was made of the precision of phase conjugation and of the efficiency of reflection of a series of pulses, each of about 100 ns duration, at a repetition frequency up to 50 kHz under conditions of stimulated Brillouin scattering in condensed and gaseous media. Effects which could compete with such scattering and reduce the precision of phase conjugation on increase in the pump energy, as well as methods for suppressing these effects, were analyzed.
