Abstract:
A comparison of the theoretical values of the gain coefficient with those found experimentally yielded the rate constants of the processes of near-resonant vibrational exchange between CO2(0111) and D2 (1) (1.59×103 Pa/sec), and of the vibrational–translational relaxation of CO2(0001) (2 Pa–1 ·sec–1) and of the bending mode of CO2 (4×102 Pa–1 · sec–1) by interaction with deuterium. The temperature dependences of these constants were obtained in the range 100–800°K. The variation of the vibrational mode temperatures along the nozzle was determined.
