Transient operation of a two-pass amplifier

An analysis is made of transient amplification of a sequence of short pulses in the absence of interference. Recurrence formulas are obtained for calculating the transient gain of a two-pass amplifier. An analysis is made of the possibility of controlling the shape of the envelope of the radiation pulse at the output of such an amplifier.
