Prediction of the parameters of the distribution of the failure times of injection heterolasers

A probabilistic analysis is made of the degradation of heterolasers when the distribution of the threshold current obeys the normal law and the distribution of the failure times obeys the lognormal law. It is shown that the parameters of the distribution of the failure times of heterolasers can be determined from the average threshold current and from the variance of the distribution of this parameter at the initial moment.
