Abstract:
A study is reported of structures formed as a result of hard excitation in a wide-aperture Fabry–Perot interferometer filled with a Kerr nonlinear medium and supporting one longitudinal mode. The mechanism of formation of quasiperiodic structures, i.e. their self-building, is demonstrated. This mechanism is new for diffraction systems. A study is reported of the spectrum of collective excitations and of the stability of periodic structures.
