Nonlinear polarization coefficients of proustite and tellurium

Abstract: The effective nonlinear polarization coefficient d31sinθm+d22 cosθm of proustite was measured for an incident beam propagating in the positive crystallographic quadrant. The nonlinear polarization coefficient d11 of tellurium was determined making allowance for the spectral width of the incident beam. This beam was generated by a Q-switched CO2 laser operating in the single-mode regime.
