High-power Y₃Al₅O₁₂:Nd³⁺ laser with an explosion-type lamp

Abstract: A brief description is given of a quasi-CW Y₃Al₅O₁₂:Nd³⁺ laser with an explosion-type lamp. The energy of the λ = 1.064 μ radiation produced by this laser is 1 J at 300°K. Lasers with explosion-type lamps have very high output energy/weight ratios.
