Investigation of the stability of the oscillation frequency of a mercury laser emitting at λ=1.53 μ

Abstract: An experimental investigation was made of the stability of the oscillation frequency of a mercury vapor laser emitting at λ = 1.53 μ. The stability was determined by measuring the difference between the frequencies of two independently stabilized lasers. A method was found for improving the reproducibility of the frequency of a stabilized mercury laser.
