The carbon monoxide laser. Review of experimental results

A review is given of the results of experimental investigations of gas-discharge cw and pulsed CO lasers. A large part of the review is concerned with the properties of the laser discharge plasma, which are required for the understanding of the mechanism of population inversion in CO lasers.
