Abstract:
The fluorescence spectra were recorded in the range λ = 1.0–1.5 μm for a number of dyes embedded in solid-state matrices based on post-chlorinated polyvinyl chloride, and on cellulose diacetate and triacetate. The quantum efficiency of these dyes was compared with that of the traditional solutions. The results demonstrated the promise of the new materials as active media for tunable near-infrared lasers.
