Abstract:
An experimental investigation is reported of multiphoton dissociation of CF3Cl and (CF3)3CH molecules at high temperatures produced by cw CO2 laser radiation tuned to the absorption band of a specially added SF6 sensitizer. It is shown that by increasing the initial temperature, it is possible to increase the multiphoton dissociation yield of CF3Cl and (CF3)3CH molecules having absorption bands outside the emission bands of the CO2 laser. The sensitizer does not participate in the chemical reactions.
