Abstract:
A system for the stabilization and tuning of the emission frequency of a dye laser was developed. The tuning range of the system was 1000 MHz and its short-term stability was 10–8. The tuning was provided by stabilization with the aid of a Fabry–Perot interferometer the length of which was kept constant using radiation from a single-frequency tunable He—Ne laser (λ=0.63 μ). The emission frequency of the He–Ne laser was controlled by varying the difference between its frequency and that of a stable LG-77 laser.
