Abstract:
A description is given of proposed multichannel modans (components for resolving an incident beam into a spectrum of spatial modes) which can operate simultaneously on several groups of transverse modes. Modans are made by computer-optics methods using additionally optical systems for superposition of the spatial carrier frequency. Estimates are obtained of the maximum number of groups of transverse modes which can be superimposed on one computer-optics component bearing in mind discretization of the transmission function. A study is reported of a two-channel component for the analysis of the distribution of power between Gauss–Laguerre modes.
