Optical pumping of a CdS0.5Se0.5 laser by radiation from a CdS streamer laser

Streamer semiconductor lasers can be used for optical pumping of certain laser materials, such as dyes and semiconductors, and also in studies of photoluminescence of various substances with a high temporal and spatial resolution. A report is given of the use of radiation from a CdS streamer laser for optical pumping of a CdS_0.5Se_0.5 laser
