Investigation of the energy characteristics of a cw electron-beam-controlled industrial CO laser with an output power of 10 kW

Abstract: An experimental investigation was made of the temperature dependences of the energy characteristics of a cw electron-beam-controlled industrial CO laser. High values of the lasing efficiency (37%) and specific output energy (113 J/g) were achieved. Rapid formation of carbon dioxide was observed in working CO mixtures in an electron-beam-controlled discharge.
