Abstract:
The model of a phase screen is used as an approximation in determination of the statistical characteristics of the complex amplitude of the output field of an unstable resonator containing a randomly inhomogeneous medium. A correlation theory and a condition of reproduction of the field in the resonator for each realization of the screen are used in deriving a system of selfconsistent integral equations for the determination of the coherence function of the output radiation. An analysis is made and solutions are given for the cases of noncoherent and coherent addition of waves resulting from repeated passage of the field in the resonator through the same inhomogeneities of the medium.
