Abstract: A method for increasing the information capacity and enhancing the reliability of information storage in a dynamic fibre-optic memory is proposed. An additional built-in channel with counterpropagating circulation of signals is provided for this purpose. This additional channel can be used to transmit both information and service signals, such as address words, clock signals, correcting sequences, etc. The possibility of compensating the attenuation of an information signal by stimulated Raman scattering is considered.
