Abstract: The optoacoustic method was used to study the dependence of the energy of infrared radiation absorbed resonantly by ozone molecules on the incident energy flux density under collision conditions. The source of radiation was a TEA CO2 laser stabilized by the injection method. A comparison was made of the results obtained in the presence and absence of injection. It was established that at energy densities ranging from 10–3 to 320 J/cm2 the absorbed energy was proportional to the square root of the energy density. A theoretical analysis of the absorption of high-intensity radiation under collision conditions was found to be in a qualitative agreement with the experimental results.
