Measurement of the scattering of laser mirrors in reflection of a dominant-mode beam produced by a carbon dioxide laser

Abstract: The quasioptic transmission line method was used in measurements of the absolute scattering losses in the reflection of a CO2 laser beam of 10–3 rad divergence from mechanically polished copper and aluminum mirrors. The results obtained were compared with the absorption losses.
