Saturation of optical transitions not conserving quasimomentum in semiconductors in the presence of inhomogeneous fields

Abstract: A theoretical analysis is made of the dependences of the Fermi level and absorption coefficient on the field in optical transitions occurring in doped semiconductors. The distribution of the intensity of the optical field in a semiconductor crystal is obtained under saturation conditions.
