Lasing in laminar PbI₂ single crystals

Abstract: An investigation was made of some features of lasing in laminar PbI₂ single crystals as a function of the sample temperature (5<T<100K), thickness, and polytype. An interpretation of the results is given using a model of a microlaser with natural partial optical resonators containing a passive zone.
