Abstract:
An analysis was made of tbe influence of half-select pulses on the contrast of the optical image and the scatter of the depth of modulation of light in controlled transparency arrays made of ceramic lead lanthanum zirconate titanate (PLZT) of the La/Zr/Ti=8/65/35 composition. Methods for addressing the arrays were investigated. It was found that compensation of the effects of the half-select pulses could increase the optical image contrast of a 104-bit array to 60 for a scatter of the depth of modulation of light not exceeding 4%.
