Abstract:
Three-component mixtures are recommended for increasing the output energy characteristics of high-pressure lasers pumped by an electron beam and emitting as a result of infrared transitions in ArI, KrI, and XeI. It is shown experimentally that dilution of helium (used as the buffer gas) with neon in the ratio [Ne]/([Ne+[He])=0.35–0.45 makes it possible to increase theoutput energy by a factor of 2–3. An analysis of the experimental results is given.
