Abstract:
A YAG:Nd3+ crystal laser with continuous emission-frequency tuning within the limits of the luminescence line of the active element was designed and constructed. A grazing-incidence diffraction grating was used inside the laser resonator. This was possible because of the special construction of the laser resonator: for each trip of the radiation through the resonator there were two trips in the active element. The width of the emission line of the laser was less than 0.05 cm–1.
