Fourth International School on Coherent Optics, Bechynĕ, Czechoslovakia, September 12–22,1983

A brief review is given of lectures and papers presented at the Fourth International School on Coherent Optics (Bechynĕ, Czechoslovakia, 1983). The program at the School was divided into the following sessions: new laser systems and materials, nonlinear processes in optics, optical waveguides, laser applications.
