Abstract:
An analysis is made of asymmetric Bragg reflections used in the investigation of X-ray emission spectra of a laser plasma in high-power laser facilities. It is found that a better spectral resolution and a higher luminosity can be achieved for an asymmetric system than for a symmetrical one. The results of an experimental study of the X-ray emission spectra of the helium-like ion Cl XVI using the two systems are presented.
