Control of the spatial structure of radiation formed by reflection from a four-wave mirror

An experimental investigation was made of the feasibility of controlling the spatial structure of a wave formed by four-wave reversal of the wavefront with the aid of modulation of the field amplitude or phase in a transverse cross section of ode of the pump beams. It was found that the effect can be used to transmit data or images across inhomogeneous media.
