Abstract:
A method was developed for the determination of the spectral dependences of the quantum yields of photoprocesses resulting from irradiation of the investigated compounds with nonmonochromatic radiation. The spectral dependences of the absolute quantum yields of the formation of J(2P1/2) and J(2P3/2) atoms by photolysis of C3H7J and CH3CHJCH3 were determined in the range 210–155 nm. It was found that practically throughout the investigated range the atoms of iodine were formed mainly in the excited J(2P1/2) state.
