Reconstruction of the structure of the x-ray spectrum of a laser plasma by mathematical processing

Abstract: A method is suggested for the reconstruction of the structure of an x-ray spectrum broadened by the influence of a plasma source and by the recording channel. The new method requires less calculation time than the previous methods for the processing of experimental data involving local regularization. This advantage is due to a numerical procedure of the reconstruction method based on a semigroup scheme. The application of the new method in the reconstruction of the k and j satellites of the He-like Al XII ion in the x-ray spectrum of a laser plasma observed in the Delfin facility ensured an improvement in the spectral resolution by a factor of 2–5.
