Reconstruction of images of rotating bodies of arbitrary angular dimensions. II. Doppler interferometry

Abstract: An analysis is made of the correlation structure of the Doppler spectrum of a coherent signal scattered by a rough rotating surface. A study is made of the cross-correlation characteristics of the Doppler components of spectra obtained under various conditions of broad-band probing. It is shown that these characteristics are related to the image of the scattering surface. Some estimates of the resolution are made.
