Abstract:
An analysis is made of the polarization eigenstates of laser resonators containing electrooptic and magnetooptic Q switches with partial polarizers. The characteristic features of the behavior of polarization states and their eigenvalues are determined. A resonator with an active element which does not cause depolarization of the radiation is considered and it is found that the Q-switching curve has a region with an infinite derivative with respect to the control field. The results of calculations are checked experimentally.
